Jesus the Christ: Unique and Supreme
In the spring of 2012, Anglican Communion leaders from
around the world will gather in central London for the first ever Fellowship of
Confessing Anglicans (FCA) Leadership Conference. Started in 2008, the
Fellowship is a worldwide network that upholds biblically-based Anglicanism as
expressed in the GAFCON Jerusalem Declaration. 200 of the world’s Anglican
leaders will gather to further the revival of orthodox Anglicanism around the
globe. They will also fellowship, worship and plan together as they seek to
renew the world’s third largest branch of Christianity. Attendance is by
invitation only.
Beginning on April 23, 2012, the five-day conference will take place at St. Mark’s Battersea Rise in London. Each day, participants will join in morning Bible study with church leaders. They will also hear inspiring testimony from global Anglican leaders as well as discussion on Anglican mission, theology and other issues of concern.
Archbishop of
the Anglican Church of Kenya and FCA Chairman Eliud Wabukala says this
leadership conference is of great importance to the Anglican Communion. “My
dear Brothers and Sisters, the Anglican Communion has been and can be an
immense force for good in this world. But it will benefit more from continual
spiritual renewal and reform by the word of God. The Global FCA exists to help
work towards that goal and this conference is a major step towards it.â€
Delegates must be willing to be publicly identified as someone who holds to the beliefs outlined in the Jerusalem Declaration.
